Charles Tettey Esq, is Barrister and Solicitor of the Superior Courts of Judicature, Ghana and a certified Notary Public of Ghana. He is the founder and Principal at Sedi Legal Bureau, an investment, corporate, commercial and general service law firm based in Accra. He has an impressive career spanning twenty years of cutting-edge experience across the broad domain of legal practice in Ghana.

Mr. Tettey represents both corporate and individual clients, foreign and local alike, in Commercial Law/ Business Law, Property Law, Labour Law, Conveyancing, Debt Recovery and Litigation, among others.

Prior to setting up Sedi Legal Bureau, Charles was the Senior Associate at the firm of Awoonor Law Consultancy, a firm of Corporate and Investment Lawyers, heading the Debt Recovery and Litigation and Property Law practice of the Firm.

He was an associate Counsel that conducted legal due diligence on the West African Gas Pipeline Project, providing legal advice on various aspects of the project, particularly the establishment of a harmonized regime of law for its construction and operation. This regime paved the way for a smooth take off and saw the successful completion of the project.

Charles was also part of the team of legal advisors that successfully negotiated the acquisition of the Ghana Bottling Company (Pepsi Cola Franchise) by Beverage Investment Limited.

As former Solicitor for Total (Ghana) Limited, a company registered under the laws of Ghana and engaged in the petroleum downstream sector, he was responsible for advising on the acquisition of land for purposes of construction of filling stations and other properties. He conducted due diligence, drafting conveyances, and obtaining title certificates for the client. Charles was the associate Counsel for Finali Limited a Real Estate Company that set up the Airport Hill Estate, a first class residential estate, located at East Airport, Accra. He advised on acquisition of land, conducted due diligence on title, represented clients in court, prepared conveyances and registered titles in respect of the Land.

He has offered similar legal services to many other corporate clients in the Real Estate business and individuals who are clients of the firm.

Charles has served on the National Board of Ghana’s Lands Commission, having been appointed by the then President of Ghana from 2006 to 2008 and was the Volta Regional Chairman of the Commission from 2006 to 2008

Mr. Charles Tettey graduated from the University of Ghana, Legon in 1993 with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree. Charles was admitted into the Ghana Bar in October, 1995 after completing the relevant studies at the Ghana School of Law. Charles also took courses in basic and advanced securities at the Ghana Stock Exchange.
